You're going to love it, one of the best sub-bass reproduction in the business
Yep so looking forward to this. I have had a LCD-2.2 before and currently the LCD-2F. Might sell the 2F eventually to fund for ALO studio six or a WA5LE. Got a WA6SE atm.

I guess You would not finance those amps with lcd2f entirely:) wa6se is a nice amp, used to have it some time ago as well as lcd2f:)
And Alo and Woo should sound awesome with lcd3.

Btw i suggest to upgrade the headband in lcd 3 to the newest one if You have not thought about it already.

Haha, I wish I could buy a Studio six for the price of an used 2F.

Yeah will definitely change the headband. The new headband is a huge improvement.

I switch the headband of lcd2c, before selling it, and put in on my LCD 2 alu and it looked awesome. IMG_20210929_175357.jpg

Recently returned LCD-4 as I can't justify the cost (today) and was tbh a bit miffed that LCD-5 was released so soon after I bought LCD-4.

Decided to take a more cost effective route for the time being with LCD-3.

I gotta say, I'm really impressed with LCD-3, it's surely a good 80-90% of LCD-4 at much lower cost. I've only had about 2.5 hours listening time but LCD-3 seems not as intimate sounding as LCD-4 and it's more vocal forward. The highs were surprisingly fatiguing to begin with but I'm getting used to it now. Easier to drive too.

Overall very pleased.

Not suprisingly very similar experience regarding LCD-4, and the fatiguing highs. Fatiguing highs only after changing from Kann to Kann Cube.

I realised that I had the volume set at same level as when using with LCD-4 which didn't help with fatigue.

I'm moving from Schiit Gumby/MJ2 (going to sell) to Burson Conductor 3 Reference dac/amp tomorrow. It will be interesting to see how LCD-3 responds.

I'm not familiar with a lot of portable source gear these days, though I know A&K make good kit. Last portables I had were a Sony NWZ-A865 and a Cowon J3 many years ago.
