Yes, and I have the Lohb strap. Super comfy - I can wear my 635g Alu LCD-2 all day with it. The CF is simply not worth $200. If Audeze were clever they’d make the LCD-2C strap available for $100, which I may consider if only for the neater look.Has anyone compared the lohb strap vs. the carbon fiber headband? Thoughts?

I have 2 pair of LCD-2: a 2014 (early Fazor) and 2016 (latest drivers). I use the 2014 at work and it recently fell off my desk, and didn't sound 100% anymore. I sent it to Audeze for repair & upgrade. $400 later they're back better than new with the latest drivers, same as in my 2016 model and a fresh warranty. Overall a good experience. The driver upgrade wasn't a huge difference, but it is a nice though subtle improvement.

Has anyone listened to the lcd2c and latest 2f? Does it make sense for audeze to keep both?
I love the bass on the 2F aluminum and deckard combo, but it's so heavy, and if I run the lohb strap, I'll need to get the longer rods too... If I don't end up with a stax, I'm seriously considering looking into the 2c if the sound is close

Tyll Herstens recently reviewed the LCD-2C on InnerFidelity. He said, "My experience of the Audeze LCD line when they went to Fazors is that they lost a bit of bass heft and dynamics, but made gains in finesse and resolve. Listening to the LCD2C definitely harkens back to that earlier sound signature."
The latest drivers for the LCD-2F were introduced in 2016. Same overall sound, but lighter, thinner than before with better transient response, consistency and durability. IIRC, the LCD-2C and LCD-2F use the same drivers, but the LCD-2C doesn't have the Fazor elements.

There are differences because the Fazor changes the sound. The Fazor has less bass slam, more neutral response, less of a dip in the upper mids/lower treble.
Better is in the ears of the listener. I like a more neutral response overall and the Fazor has perfectly linear deep bass, it's just not as emphasized. That's how I like it. YMMV.
Some would say, 2C for rock/electronic and 2F for acoustic/classical. I'm mainly an acoustic/classical listener but I also listen to some rock/electronic and I like the 2F for everything.

Good find. How is some random site in the UK the only place that has these for sale?? I'd love to buy one for my lcd2f, but they only ship to the UK. Anyone know a place to buy that ships to the US?

Hi, I have 2 questions: I have an AR M2 with integrated class A amp, will it be enough to drive the LCD2?
is it true that the LCD 2 is very close to the shure quality if 846?

Most portable players don't have enough output power to drive the LCD-2. But the LCD-2 isn't power hungry; most desktop amps can drive it just fine. It's a 70 ohm resistive load, and voltage sensitivity is slightly higher than a Sennheiser HD-600. At a given volume setting on the amp, the LCD-2 will play slightly louder than an HD-600, while drawing about twice as much power.
That said, while many desktop amps can adequately drive the LCD-2 from a power perspective, they won't necessarily achieve the LCD-2's full sound quality. It's transparent and has such low distortion and wide bandwidth it will reveal sound quality limitations of the amp (and the source, of course).

I was able to drive my LCD 2F right from the speaker terminals of my NAD M3 which is a dual mono design with rock solid stable power even at 4ohms so I was able to really hear the LCD2F very well driven and it was a very nice headphone. Would have enjoyed keeping it if I could, but sadly to try new things in this hobby I have to sell gear. It would be nice to have the luxury of keeping several headphones, and if I could for sure the LCD2F would be one that I kept.
