Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread

Hello
since Audeze doesn't provide individual charts for LCD-2's, could anyone post / link to a generic frequency response of LCD-2 (post 2021) ? I tried googling and searching this thread but can't find anything... would be greatly appreciated!
I believe DMS has the frequency response in this video.

If you email them with your serial number, they still provide the FR graph, I think

That's helpful but it's essential to know the base curve against which it was measured. IIRC, Audeze uses diffuse field which is quite different from others such as the Harman curve. HRTF is highly variable by individual, so which is "best" is subjective. Yet for comparison, one needs to know and correct for different base curves.

Here are curves for 2 different LCD-2 Fazor headphones (2014 and 2016 drivers). Is the one above also a Fazor, or are the LCD2 and LCD2F really that similar? They sound quite different so I'd be surprised if the FR graphs were so similar.

LCD-2 in Padauk has been available for some time now (about 2 months). Though I see you're from London, I would recommend contacting your local dealers to see if they have stock.

Yes, I've finally received them :) Pre-ordered few months ago, but they're finally on my head. Have to say, they look and sound fantastic. Previously I had 2015 version, pre-driver change. These sound better, no doubt about it. This is the sound I like, and (together with LCD-X) I think this is the end game (simply, no money). Very happy!

Having listening mainly to Genelec the ones speakers (the smallest ones), for a few weeks, it was great to pick up the old LCD-2s again. They sound as great IMHO. Perhaps even better in my imperfect room, especially at lower volumes. Cranking it up, the ones wins for the feel of it, because I do not dare to with the LCD2s. The ones cost a fair bit more than the lcd2, and are also newer (compared to my old lcd2s) so the comparison is a bit unfair imho.
I think I appreciate the LCD2 even more now than when I started this thread.

Got a pair of 2012 LCD2’s yesterday, been a loooong time since I heard a pair of OGs. I think they are truly magnificent. The tuning is exactly up my alley. Anyone else enjoying a pair of non-fazored here 12-14 years later?

Still rocking my OG LCD2s, which was the first high-end set i ever got. Though i think my tuning preference has evolved over time, they are still my go to if i want some me some warm thick vocals. :relieved:
