Ever heard the he400 for movies? That is my current setup, good sized soundstage for sure. Does hd700 have a bigger soundstage? What would bass impact be like compared to he400?

hd-700 has a much larger soundstage and better center imaging than the he-400 or the lcd-2. Lcd-2 images as well or better than the he-400, but lcd-2 has less air around the instruments and a similar soundstage than the he-400.

Yeah, it is great for that purpose! I feel that HD700 and DT990 are easily 2 one of best headphones for gaming and movies at any price!

I have a question for anyone that owns the LCD 2.2 and Shure KSE1500.
 
I own both and have formed some interesting opinions.  My LCD is powered via Mac/HUGO/WA6SE with USAF 596.  My KSE has been powered by AK240,mojo, KSE.  I have interechanged DACs and sources and the conclusion is still the same.
 
I am curious if anyone else has done an A/B?  Thanks

Sure, the LCD-2 sucks for movies and gaming. Soundstage is very narrow. I only use it for music listening, no more than 2 hours a day at most. The wight and clamping force make it hard to use for long sessions. I much prefer the HD 598 for everything especially gaming, which is my primary mean of entertainment at the moment. I might sell the T 90 and get the HD700, which I have a feeling will replace my 598 as a daily driver

I have a philips fidelio x2 headphone with NFB-11 and every thing is good for me but i decided to upgrade and experience something more impressive.
A few days ago i asked for help from you because i am confused between HE-560 and LCD-2 headphone.
My important question is: i want you to compare between X2 and LCD-2 in terms of the bass and the soundstage because my use is for movies and music
