Liking mine quite a bit after a week of listening. Still getting used to the huge pads, but the LCD-2 is still lighter than the heaviest can I have, so no problems there. Question - has anyone removed the felt padding (the loose circle bit, not the glued-down rectangular bit)? I have mine out and it feels like there's just a little bit more space to the music, like going from listening to speakers in a small office to a large room. I actually preferred the sound with the grilles off the most, but that leaves the expensive guts a little too vulnerable for me. Bit of spray adhesive and a pair of black hose fixed the "Ha ha, I can see your drivers, and they're huge!" see-through issues. I haven't found any type of music these headphones don't love playing back; from old-school thrash metal and avant-garde jazz (or whatever Nik Bartsch's stuff qualifies as), to grimy industrial metal and acoustic vocal-centric music.
