Well I've been using a Fiio A1 with my LCD2s recently and compared to my WA6 the A1 seems to provide a more 3D sound and more bass impact. I don't know if it's the A1's extra power or something else but I highly recommend it if you can find one.

That's understandable I guess, I personally think the LCD-X is the best one out of them all.

I would pick the 2 over the X, and the 3 over both of them.

To me the LCD-3 are a little too bright and the LCD-2 are a little too dark, LCD-X sound just right and most neutral. But I'd pick the 2 over the 3.

Not that it means anything but I went to 4 different on-line retailers and every one was out of stock on the LCD2. Not sure what that means but it seems a bit odd. They had the other models but not this one. Either they are selling like never before or Audeze is concentrating their manufacturing on the higher priced models over this one. I got one coming but it is going to be a while before I get it, week to ten days is what they told me when I ordered. I sure hope I like it after all the trouble I had to go through to get one.
