Have to say to @zach915m and all ZMF heads -- these cans are an incredible listening tool, beyond being enjoyable. When I get home from playing out, I fire up Facebook, find whomever has "Gone Live" me that night, plug in my Atticus, turn on my Mojo, turn on my ZDTj, and watch/listen to my performance with at least some possibility that I may like what I have heard.

I know I'm not the only singer who is self-conscious. I heard the Weekend hated his voice for many years, which is hard for me to imagine considering his immense talents. Using my setup (which took a lot of financial sacrifices to attain and some trail/error to perfect), I finally have the opportunity to evaluate my performances with some degree of objectivity. Sorry if this is more of the same, but I just can't say enough about how helpful this setup has become.

I was somewhat skeptical, but ZMF Dynamics garner a high price for a reason. They are valuable.

I think that is really cool, to see this musical badass can, getting used for the real deal!

Hi guys, I have the chance to buy an early, used pair if Atticus, the ones without the notches on the height adjustment, my question is, is there anything to look for or that goes wrong on a pair over two years old, any weak spots etc, or are they pretty much trouble free if looked after?. Any input you be greatly appreciated!.

I have an old Atticus with the smooth sliders as well, 2nd owner. Honestly they're rock solid to this day. i'd estimate them to be between 2-3 years old now. i think the only things that could be an issue are the leather pads and suspension strap being worn, which are easily replaceable. Zach makes an incredibly robust and well built headphone, i think you'd be safe buying even a very old pair. unless the set looks like it's been tossed around a lot, i wouldnt worry too much about durability.

Hi @erics75 , thanks for your input. The pair I'm interested in are 2/3 years old and appear to be in good condition, so what you're saying is reassuring, think I'll get them while I have the chance, cheers!.

Always happy to look at an older zmf if needed and we try not to charge much more than parts of something comes up.

This is another reason why, I love ZMF headphones! I bought a used pair of Ori headphones, a while back, and they had a small issue, and Zach fixed them up in no time, with no charge. I was not even the original owner, but I was treated like I was. I have confidence in saying, that if you buy a ZMF headphone, whether it is used or new, you will always be taken care of.

What Wes said!!! I had a similar experience. I bought a 2nd hand pair of Atticus that arrived with an issue with one of the drivers. Zach and fam took it in, fixed it, and went further by actually replacing other parts as well. The total cost to me was extremely fair.

Great (and I can't emphasis that word strongly enough) product + superb customer service = winning business model!!!!!

And this is why I am the proud owner of five (count 'em, FIVE) pairs of ZMF cans.

i posted this review on Head-Fi of the Atticus and Eikon last March. I only posted it in the Eikon Review section.

I just posted it in the Atticus review section in case someone is specifically looking for Atticus information and stumbles upon it that way and hopefully benefits from the review.

Hope I'm not breaking H/F rules with this. I was just about to pull the trigger on these Atticus when I noticed there might be a problem with one of the hp cable sockets, there appears to be what looks like glue around the socket, does this look like a problem?.

I know right...where else can you get service like this...killer cans, killer service from wonderful people.
This all adds up to great success and a reputation that last forever.

Hard to tell exactly from the pics - you could definitely send the headphones in for a checkup if needed.

In the early days of the Atticus/eikon we did use different tiny XLRs that made them stick out a little with gaskets on them. We use a more flush mount panel jack now. If the owner says it works fine then it should be OK but they can be replaced by us if needed too.

Interesting, I just noticed the gaskets on my Atti's. I did buy them used so I guess they are an older pair. These are the ones you serviced for me a few months back.

Mine show no signs of any type of adhesive. The entry point of the XLR connectors is very clean.
