Totally new to all this and on a fairly tight budget. I recently got a Little Dot MK2 which I am trying to use as a preamp through the "main amp" input on a NAD 320 BEE. Problem is, using my CD player, although it sounds great so far, I cannot turn the volume on the LD passed about "8 o'clock" mark and at this level there is an imbalance to the channel levels. This sorts itself out when I crank the volume up but I risk upsetting the neighbours at this volume. Would some Rothwell RCA attenuators help and where would be the best place to put them? There seems to be some debate as to whether they adversely affect SQ. Thanks for any advice

I actually want to use the LDMK2 as a preamp through my speakers. From the sound I am getting at the moment it is a great improvement on the inbuilt NAD preamp and has that wonderful valve quality. Just that it's a bit loud. Forgot to mention I have got the LD set on it's lowest gain level so can't do any more with that.
