Hi,

I'm coming from the "gaming" headset world to the audiophile race so i know very little really. I play FPS games mainly and listen to music while working.
My budget is around $70 for the headphone and like $30 for a mic. I think the two best headphones that fits my budget are the SHP9500 or the AD700x + Vmoda boom pro

Which of those two would you recommend me ? Keep in mind every extra $ i pay will hurt as i have tight budget

I'm a big fan of the SHP9500. They sound great and are probably the most single comfortable headphones I've ever worn. If youre in for long stints of gaming, I cant deny those might be a good choice. I have no experience with the AD700X so I cant chime in there but...if youre tight for cash, I often see SHP9500 being sold every few months for 39.95 brand new on New Egg. If youre up to play the waiting game, thats always a good deal.

ATH-AD700X, good for FPS gaming, but has a very light bass, so not great for listening to music. Unless you prefer music with a very light bass.

Giving that it will have a considerable price difference in where i live, will it have a considerable performance edge over the SHP9500 ?
I listen to rap and hip-hop so the bass is there but so heavy.
