Which one will be better for portable use? My mp3 player is loaded with a variety from rock, blues, to heavy distorted electronica. Which one has the best sound?
ok but i want a headphone that looks good and im planning on using it for DJing. i dont have a good bugget either. between those two, which one is better?
Proved that despite its huge size the CD3000 can be shoved down one's throat.

In this case get the Sony, at least is louder, 3 watts per channel, and very sensitive, pretty sturdy and versatile, not a heapdhone in its class, but do the job for noisy environments...

call and ask these guys what the lowest price for a pair of ultrasone dj1 is. i've used and owned the 700's, pioneer hdj 1000 and the 5000 (before the 1000 came out), denon, and the ultrasone dj1 pro; and as sound quality goes, the ultrasone has beaten them all handily.
also, of note... the dj1 has lasted me longer than any other deejay headphone i've ever owned.

Of course the Ultrasone for sure will be far better than the V700...
i've owned a lot of deejay headphones over the years and i can't stress how much better sq they offer over the others. you may even want to ask them how much they want for a closeout pair of proline 550, lukeswits, for that little bit more in sound quality.
