the ATH-ON3's are fantastic little headphones, however there's no real bass to speak of. For the money, they sound fantastic, better than anything i've heard at the price. if only there was a little bit more bass

Anyway, they ain't the best 'phone around, but cheap (as I bought it) and good (sounding and looking) enough for me to consider it an entry phone into our big and expensive Head-fi's world

OK I cant find any info on this anywhere, but is the wire headband adjustable to fit your head, or does it just stay the same length for everyone and just sit off the top of your head? Cheers!

yosh dudes, just wondering if the ATH-ON3:

1. band sits on top of your head or behind your head?
2. does it have a good bass like, say, ATH-FC5 or even remotely close to it?
3. does it clamp to your ears as good as ATH-FC5? i once got a PX 100, sound was excellent but the grip was so terrible that it interfered with my music volume and clarity. that was a real pity.

The head-wire sits on top of your head.

Not sure about this. Sometimes, you can put them over the arm of a chair or on a basketball for a day or two and they should stretch out.

1. As fraseyboy said.

2. For its price, you can't really compare it to ATH-FC5. Its bass is only OK for a typical 'phone of its size, nothing extra.

3. The fitting is OK, (just) slightly better than the Senn. PX series.

As I said in my review (link in my signature), it is quite a cheap 'phone so don't expect it to out perform more $$$ 'phone of similar design. It is good for its price, nothing more.
