I've decided it on these 3 but I don't know which would be best for music such as pop,RnB, and Ballad. Any suggestions?

The sound signatures on these three is so. . . Different. . . They aren't better then each other they are just different.
 
Where will you be using them, what will you plug them into, what are you looking for in the sound.
 
Do you want open, airy, and bright sound?
 
Do you want closed, fun emphasized bass , and good high frequency's?
 
Do you want Closed and a flat monitoring sound?

Yeah these headphones are very different, you will need to give us some more information regarding your sonic preferences from your music as neither are better than the other overall, but some are better at certain things than the other.

The M50 are very good with pop and RnB. That's mainly why I bought them.

AD700 is good with jazz.

Well I'd start off the SRH840 if the OP still doesn't state his preferences. Works well with all genres.
 
Getting my AD700 tomorrow will hopefully post impressions soon.

I love my M50s for RnB and Pop music so my recommendation goes for them.

The M50 should do fine for RnB and Pop, but for ballad...I'm not sure what that is, If it's similar to classic they do okay, but not great.  The M50 are good headphones and I do enjoy listening to them.
 
The AD700 in my opinion aren't strong Pop performer.
 
I heard the shure 840 are very nice headphones.
 
I say out of the three it's between the 840 and M50.
 
What's your budget also?  Their might also be better other option too.

ballad's are much heavier emphasis on vocals, less on the instruments. also usually slower than other genres like rock and pop. it doesn't really fit with the first two listed genres

the 840 is too neutral and wide staged, distant sounding for rock and pop, the Ad700s lacks bass which is obviously an important factor.  I'd go for the m50 though.

  In that case, I say the M50 also then.  The M50 does wonderful with vocal, very intimate.

Though the AD700 will have the best overall sound quality, the SRH840 will  probably be better suited to pop and RnB. I say go with the Shures unless you want a  bass heavy phone without much of a soundstage (then go with the M50).

I had the 840 and M50 and without any reservations I much preferred the 840. The 840 is a flat out bargain also D2000 floating on Amazon under 200.00

Ok I've never heard the ad700s but people often compare them to hd555's which I think are not even in the same class as the shures..So are the ad700 s really that good??
 
@JayB18  have you ever owned the shures? they are not there in your signature.

AD700's are supposed to better than HD555's and compare to more expensive headphones than the HD555.
 
I own the SRH840 and I will make an impression today when I listen to the AD700's today.
