I have closed off my headphone search by narrowing it down to these two models. I now need to choose.

I will be using the headphones with a udac I just purchased, there is no need for portability or isolation.

I listen to all genres of music, as well as watch a lot of movies and play games. My ears are sensitive to harsh trebble.

Which one would I choose if price is not a factor in this decision?

If price doesn't matter, then go for the 840 by all means.

I have uDAC and srh840. work pretty good together and I don't see srh840 to be expansive than m50 so much (~150USD). keep in mind srh840 although neutral still a little mid-central. and it take a lot of time to burn in before you hear its real sound.

My only worry that the srh840 would not have enough flavour for games. I'm not a big basshead however.
