I just picked up a pair of these, and they're awesome except for this noise that I can hear when I'm not playing any sound through them (but are still plugged into my computer).

As I begin to plug the jack in, the sound is pretty loud and noticeable, and it quiets down once it's completely in.  However, I can usually still hear it very quietly when nothing else is playing.  I'm not sure how big a deal this is, but it's getting to me.  I can best describe the sound as what you hear (used to hear?) when your cell phone rang near your computer/printer, but more screechy.

Is this normal?  Anyway to fix it?  I didn't notice it with my old headphones.

That would be your computer. Are you using on board audio? Are you running through a headphone jack on the front of your computer?

Generally on board audio is very noise, and using a front headphone jack really increases this noise.

It seems like it's computer interference. Buy a sound card or a DAC to solve that problem.
