Hi, i've gotten my M40X for quite a while now and i realize that the treble is painfully sharp on certain songs for example i listened to Torn by Natilie Imbruglia on Spotify and all the S notes seem to hurt my ears. Im currently listening using onboard audio of my phone and computer, is there a way to solve this? It's more noticible on higher volumes. Is this due to bad an amplifier or just my ears?

I heard occasional sharpness with the M40x as well.

The easiest solution is to tone down the treble with EQ. A parametric equalizer will let you pinpoint precise frequencies and reduce them to your desired level. You can play around with the different frequencies to see which ones are affected the most. (Start around 6 kHz.) For details on doing all this, there are many guides available online.
