I received my ATH-CM7Ti from AudioCubes. A couple of questions:
  1. The drivers can be rotated on their mount. Is there a recommendation for setting the angle? If somebody can read the Japanese, please translate.
  2. I couldn't figure out how the carrying pouch was meant to be used, and I found the diagram on the AT website. You gotta be kidding. I don't see how it is possible to use the pouch without a mess of dangling cords.
They sound good so far in limited listening. The drivers are a bit large for my ears and they don't stay firmly in place.

the first diagram explains that it is adjustable, and the second one tells you to use it by adjusting it to the appropriate angle that fits your ear.

I use my carrying pouch the way they show it on the website... but I rarely use my CM7Ti so I don't mind wasting time putting it back nicely.

Okay, I get it now about being adjustable. The rotation point is slightly offset from center, allowing a (very small) amount of adjustment for how it fits in the ear.

I still think the pouch is very impractical for serious portability.

Yeah, the angle adjustment can help the fit somewhat, but I never use the pouch. I'd much prefer a hard case. I tried using my MX500 case, but they're too big and with the neckchain design one bud has to be seated one spin 'later' than the other and you still get some wire crimping in the process, so that's a no-no. If anyone ever discovers a cheap case for these, let me know. I'm using a small metal candy box, kind of like an altoids container.

The pouch is completely and utterly useless. It'd take about 2 minutes to put the earbuds/extension cable into the pouch "properly", and half the time it still doesn't stay in very well.

I personally found that rotating the driver completely up is the only way that the small "cutout" section didn't hurt/annoy my ears, so that's the way I used it.
