Hmmmm , I've owned AD1000.

Its sound is

less bass,
gentle midrange and vocal,
bright highs and treble,
solid sound.

I think its suited with Tube's source.

Hey, the point was supposed to be that if you have the AD2000, you don't need other headphones, not to make people drool. I'm sure no one here wants to look at boring photos of headphones anyway and will just scroll past them. Everyone is waiting for your 2000 word review.

Of course, this is your thread, and I'll be happy to take down the last photo if that is your request.

So you're sure you don't want to see that last photo anymore?

Elephas, you meant you prefer AD2000 than the K1000?

gee, that makes me tempt to try the ad2k out.

I just got the K1000, so it's probably still too early to tell. Also, I'm using an old power amp to drive them, as well as the stock cables. I'll need to look into amp options and the Stefan AudioArt cables.

If I had to say, yes, the AD2000 is my favorite followed by the K1000 and DT880.

razer, I wish you had titled the thread "AD Series" instead of "AD****. All the AD500 etc. owners (the few of them there are) might not post. We're lucky enough as it is to have oScARSr here. This thread might end up just being you, me, oScARSr and maybe edisonwu and CingKrab.

EDIT: whoops, forgot about fatko. fatko, I'll treat you to yam cha next time in HK.

Hmmm, I was thinking of that.....You know, the **** thing. Yeah, I guess i should have changed it to AD series. So you prefer your AD2000 over the other two cans? I've got the HD650 here and hmmmm I kinda prefer listening to the HD650 at night and the AD2000 in the day time. And talking about review, I guess someone's supposed to do it, I'am still waiting for NIK's comparison between the AD2000 and L3000.

Hey, is there anyone here who owns the ad900? I'm choosing between which AD series can to get while I'm in Japan, and if the ad1000 is bass-light, I may even be tempted into a "downgrade" to ad900 (not to mention the wallet factor

). So far I've only seen two people here who own it, and they haven't really given me much of an idea about what the sound is like...

You should be able to demo many AT headphones in Japan. I would suggest finding a quiet area to try out the AD Series, since they're open.

The only other AD Series I've heard is the AD700, and it sounds very different than the AD2000.

So are there any headphone stalls in Akihabara TOKYO in japan that sell the AUDIO TECHNICA headphones as well as STAX or maybe just STAX headphones for a low price? I'am considering on getting the STAX earphones as my next upgrade this december holiday.....And sorry for going out of topic.

I believe there is a store in Akihabara that has STAX and Audio Technicas available for demo, along with many other brands. Unfortunately, the name of the store escapes me.

In Shinjuku, check out the Bic Camera store, in the Odakyu/Halc Department store. It is located by the Odakyu exit outside of Shinjiku station. They have a sizable collection of Audio Technica headphones, along with some high end Sony, Senn, and Beyerdynamic headphones.

Wow, that's saying a lot, especially since I see a pair of RS-1's in there as well. The AD2000's must be really special.
