Looking at Audiocubes II they are selling replacement pads for the W100/W1000 for $50 and replacements for the W2002 for $100. Is there really a difference? My understanding is the W2002 pads will fit a W100. Anyone have any insight on this?

no. You might have a better luck trying to squeeze your fist in your ear canal.

Thanks!

So if the L3000 pads are nicer than the W2002 ($79 vs $100 respectively) they must be the better buy...

The w2002 pads are mostly real leather (at least the parts that touch your face), the w100/w1000 pads are synthetic. The L3000 pads are a nicer leather than that on the w2002. All these pads are size-compatible with each other.

Yes, in fact I remember the w2002 pads used to go for $50 a pair - it was quite surprising to see them listed at $100 here. That might indicate a dwindling supply? I hope that doesn't happen to the L3000 pads now, but at least I've already got a spare set.

Both the w100/w1000 and w2002 pads are way over priced these days. Then again, I remember the Sennheiser HD600/650 pads costing $20-ish a set, and now they're $40. Pad inflation is out of control!

Ooh, I see in your sig you've got a w3000 - definitely treat yourself with L3000 pads to match the drivers!

Got my new pads a week ago. Install was a little tricky but I found a youtube video that helped out. What a difference! My W3000's fit/seal better and the feel of the new leather is nice!

I highly recommended Audiocubes II by the way.

Wit, I'll snap a few and post them. I didn't get any before I put them on though. Be right back ...

Off topic: Hope that WA6SE is treating you well. BTW, I met Jack in person a couple of weekends ago. Great guy!

Unfortunately, I got the issue on the PSU. When I put the Princess in, it flashed and fuse was blown.

So I just shipped the PSU back to Jack along with Princess Sophie. He said the tube may defected or the PSU may not compatible with the Sophie.

Whoa. Sorry to hear that. Is it a problem with the PSU or it just needs to be upgraded?

I've taken the picture of the pads but my Internet is down (using my iPhone now). We get 6" of snow here and everything shuts down. I'll post it soon.
