My father owns a pair of Grado SR80's, and I listened to them and loved the sound. I'm concerned about the fact that they are open, however, since I live in a college dorm with a roommate and do not want to disturb him.
I have never heard the Audio Technica's, so I'm scared to pay $170 before I have a listen. What should I do?
I came from a set of ER-6i's, and I loved those, for reference.
