So does anybody else Star Gaze?

I use a Meade 4.5" (about 108mm) telescope.

Hopefully will get a chance to look at the comet tonight if the skys here remain clear.

Anything special you listen to? (besides Pops in Space and the 2001 soundtrack?)

I do a little bit of star gazing. My telescope is a Celestron C102 - AZ. It has a 102mm aperture, with a 20mm eyepiece, and is a refractor. We back up to a wetlands, so we use it to watch the chritters! (Lots of birds, deer ect.) I have on occasion dragged it out on the deck after dark for that rare astronomical event. Our primary use has been mainly terrestrail...

I do some stargazing. I had a 6" newtonian on a dob mount, but now I use a Celestron C5+. Much more portable. Someday I'll pick up a big light bucket -- I'm thinking of a dob in the 12 - 15 inch range. Maybe a mid-size go-to scope, like an 8 or 10 inch Meade LX200. All in the future, though. Right now the C5+ is just what I need.

I like to observe in silence, personally. No music.

hi. i have a celestar 8 inch, a 6 inch dobsonian, and an etx. i've finished off the messier objects and am working on the ngcs. i attend the table mountain star party, in washington, the oregon star party, in oregon of course, and sometimes the ones in b.c. i don't listen to music while observing, though. oddly, i don't even notice the background music in movies. yet, music is important to me, and i listen a couple hours a day. figure.
