Very interesting design. I could imagine that this would excel in technicalities. Let’s hope it would tame planar timbre and sound more analog like the Euclid and S15.
Curious as to a comparison with the Volur & Monarch Mk IIII've currently got one of these in my ears – Bloom staff seems to agree that this is one of the best, if not they absolute best, planar magnetic IEM that we've heard. Very natural, great subbass, and on a similar technical playing field to the Supermoon. Hit me up if you have any specific questions, and we'll offer any thoughts on comparisons or pairings that we have available.
Very interesting item, bout custom tips will be the same process of physically sending custom in ear molds, or can it be done in another wayHey Audionooby,
I prefer foam tips for this model. Foam seems to offer better isolation and comfort at least to me anyhow. Also because of the fast snappy planar magnetic tweeter I don't require silicone to boost the HF. But again this is my personal preference, please experiment as needed. I'm also working hard to offer a curated accessory tip package in the near future as well. Correct tip fit is so incredibly critical.
Yes, we are working hard to bring custom fit silicone slip-overs to all our current universal fit IEMs. This will be an exclusive product from Campfire for our iems only. This effectively turns your universal iem into a CIEM. The isolation, comfort and fit is much better. I do not yet have a date for this. We will probably pilot them on just the Astrolith first and then the rest of the line up but let's see. I'll try and post some images of the product soon. Sorry I don't have exact dates yet.
Thanks,
Kb
How would you compare them with Supermoon? more air with the Astrolith?Bonneville is warmer and more lush/organic while Astrolith is more crisp and separated in the presentation. Bonneville strikes me as stronger with classic rock and acoustic guitars, while Astrolith has a technical edge for jazz/fusion and electronic music. Astrolith's bass has that super deep emphasis too, so you'll listen to a couple tracks and think "This is just all pretty well balanced, with maybe a slight bass emphasis, and then you'll get to •that• track, and the sub-bass rattles one of your fillings loose.
Campfire Audio - Nicely Done.

Whoa...nice stylingYes, these will require physical or digital molds of the inner ear.
LOL, had exactly the same reaction…...Here we go again....'opens wallet '...
I can understand when the genre is very different (e.g. bluegrass vs. techno) but is the type of sound from classic heavy metal to death/progressive metal so different to the point of requiring different IEMs?I prefered Bonneville for like Sabbath/Maiden type stuff, and Astrolith for more modern tech/death/progressive stuff.
What's the ETA for this? Definitely interested... and I have newly made impression scans to provide.Yes, these will require physical or digital molds of the inner ear.
