Thanks for info. Just got my SR25 and case. So excited. Can’t wait to get home and set it up. My buddy will make two micro SD cards with DSD, 32/192 and higher and a few 24/192. Some of it will be live recordings too which is always fun. Pray he can get them to me by next week How does Tidal sound it’s best? Also, I’m ordering the Shure BT headset today. I read that I need to use their app and that I need to use tidal through their app. If so,I assume I have to side load their app?? How do I do that? Thanks guys
You can find out more info on side-loading apps as well as a list of apps that are currently supported here - https://us.astellnkern.com/blogs/news/open-app-service-instructions

You rock Jason. Thanks so much. I just uploaded the new software and signed into my Tidal account on your Tidal app and set up what wifi. I love the red case you guys sell. It's a GREAT case for anyone who cares. Let me check out these to figure out if I can use the BT app for the Shure Aonic 50's. That would be great if so as it can hook up to phone and DAP at same time. Since I use a rollator to walk with (walker with wheels and not the type that's flimsy, lol) I need to keep hands free. Using BT on the go is the only was for me.

My first DAP and IEM earphones. So surprised about the SQ. But is it normal that the SR25 keeps switching off itself almost every time after I stop using it.

Should support up to 990kbps LDAC. Waiting on confirmation from our HQ team.
Did the HQ team get back to you ? I have now connected with a device that measures and I did get 990kbps, Thanks for checking though.

Planning on picking up an SR25 this Friday, one last question in my mind is it possible to replace the battery in future?

Great to read all the positive reports on batter life per charge cycle, but it will degrade eventually.

thanks!

@JasonNYC
Is there an alternate method of adjusting volume without using the volume knob? If there's not, can I request for a volume slider under the notification icons in future firmwares. I use my DAPs inside a see-through plastic bag; it's easier controlling it/them via the touch-screen and the buttons. Thanks.

Thank you for your fast reply. Is there any recommendations on file system type for usage? My preference is exFAT.
For microSD card, we recommend FAT32 for best results. You can format microSD cards as FAT32 from the player itself by going to Settings -> System information -> Erase SD card.

For the external drive, exFAT should be fine. My 1TB portable drive is formatted as NTFS and I haven't had any issues with any of the players recognizing it.

yes, if you touch the volume control, when you get the on-screen volume display, you can drag your finger up or down on the screen to adjust the volume. It tends to move quickly, so I recommend using caution when using the on screen volume adjustment or take the headphones/IEMs off first as you can easily max volume if you are not careful.

When on Wi-Fi, you can also use the AK Connect app on your Apple or Android phone to control volume or playback on the player. AK Connect is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Any other DLNA-enabled app will also work such as Bubble-UPNP or Sony Network Player.

Hello @JasonNYC

Appreciate if you can assists to confirm a silly question. Understood the player does unfold fully MQA tracks from the pre-installed Tidal app (assume it is since there's bit rate shown).
Is the same process applicable to offline tracks from the APK Tidal app?

Thanks to confirm.
