Honestly, I think the best value for me is to buy the SP1000 and wait for the Sp2000 to go down in price then do the swap lol. The SP1000 only lacks in the amp the department, I don't think the DAC is any slouch, add an amp and you've fixed it. I'm using the Vorzuge Pure II+ with it and it sounds good.

Have got my 512gb micro sd card ready but of course filling the internal memory will take some time. At leasts its a micro C connector.
Went for the SS partly because I have a real aversion to touching and smelling copper.
I always thew my pennies away only kept the silver so no change there then.

Mm...yup cu version. SE is more than adequate to push the driver but volume is around 100 (out of 150, I think). Thinking of a balanced 2.5 mm wire for the Stellia to see if the dynamics (very good on SE) will be better.

mm....Star Wars The Last Jedi Finale mqa tidal hifi, Liquid Spirit (ripped flac from my HE 1 test disc), some Chesky records ripped fkac, Jazz at the Pawnshop flac and I also listened very carefully to the preloaded DSDs, some Diana Krall flacs, RATM flacs and a few other like Migration sung by Eric Bibb.
Mixed in some piano music, Chesky guitars, Kenny G and Yoyo Ma.
Will be listening to glorious classical music soon. And modern classical from John Williams and Hans Zimmer, both favorites.
How will the Stellia/SP2K fare with Tchaikovsky’s 1812 overture? Will it pass the bells and cannonfire test at the finale? The HE 1 aced it.

I auditioned the Stellia with the SP1000 and there the balanced out was much better than the se out. But now that the SP2000 has more power, that difference might not be that audible. But I think it’s worth a try (maybe the soundstage and bass definition could be better with balanced)
