As I'm sure you are aware, we can't side-load recent versions of the Tidal app with Android 6, so basically there is no way to get Tidal Max. Same for SP1000/SP1000M (and others) as well.

Correct. I have been stressing this and the need to update the embedded app for this reason on older devices.

updating the built-in Tidal app is being looked into. Unfortunately I do not have additional information on if/when that will be completed.

IT NEVER ENDS WITH ASTELL AND KERN. I feel sorry for @Jason trying hard to represent them. It's always something with these guys. Somethings always wrong and needs to be fixed. From Roon to Tidal, to you name it. As an owner of the 1000,2000,and Sp3000 I have a right to speak since Ive been here since the start in 1999. So I'm saying this for everyone who owns one. GET IT THE HELL TOGETHER ASTELL AND KERN WERE TIRED OF THIS CRAP.

This is my sixth Astell Kern and the last. The company treats us like idiots. In my country you can still buy a new SP2000 from a dealer. Without support. Bravo Astell Kern, just keep it up.

The Qobuz sign-in issue seems to be affecting Android versions 7 and below (SP2000 is Android 6 I believe). It is not specific to A&K products AFAIK.
