I am really enjoying this DAP, SQ is excellent and powerful enought to drive my headphones.
Very satisfied.
The only thing that puzzle me is the library scan...stil very slow despite a brand new SD (Samsung EVO select 512GB) .
It is taking more than 4 hours for 210 GB of content.
Is this normal? I found this very strange because my humble AK Jr was much faster than this.
Also, is there a way to track scan progress?

Not at all, i would reformat to fat32, just transfer to pc or external storage if you don't have your music backed up.
Format to fat32.
The other thing is to tag your files well and clean anything else in folders e.g. flac files and max a jpeg of artworks, preferably you embed those and delete from folders too.
All in all, it sounds like corrupted files somewhere, 200gb should take just over 5 min to scan only first time
@Matpar , @soundblast75
thanks for your input, however I am doubtful on the possibility of corrupted data because my AK Jr was scanning the first 256GB SD in 15 minutes.... so I guess it is related to Alpha and its OS. Could that be the format ? I am using ALAC, could that be the difference ? I forgot to mention that the SD is already FAT32
Just received the Oidio cable and something very very good is happening..
Both Edition 15 and Alpha sound on a higher level, as if of Alpha has suddenly been burned enough and opened bottomless lows and spacious 3D

I didn't expect to use the Kann Alpha, I just ordered a week ago with my Ultrasone Ed15 Veritas (as it's not a really difficult Headphone to drive), but I am glad to learn that it seems to work fine too..

Already with the Heddphone by Hedd, I hope the 10V of the Kann Alpha will be sufficient to move them fully without a BX2 amp added.
Even the 1W of xduoo XD-05plus are not really useful with the Ed15, so I would surprise if the Kann Alpha alone won't move fully the Ed15 Veritas.
