Well you asked for it by missing out this very important piece of informationHe's very grateful. However, I forgot to specify that if possible they were not such a big hole for my pocket ...

Thanks for your post. I found that I have a 9V/1.67A charger that I got with a Samsung device. This charger is labeled "Adaptive Fast Charging". I tried it with my A&K KANN Alpha, and sure enough it charges a lot faster. Actually I appreciate A&K for thinking of our environment, and not including a charger that might be thrown away. Anyone using this device should already have a PC or charger that can charge the player.Actually what you charge it from does make a difference:
Quotiing AK specs here: "Charge Time: About 3.5 hours (9V/1.67A Fast Charging) / 5hours (5V/2A General Charging)"
The AKKA comes with a cable and will benefit if you plug it into a device / charger with Fast Charging support.
I like the fact that is possible to use youtube. I am a nostalgic and I have to say that sometimes I really like to see some nice old live concert or to use youtube, in this case I suppose v-link, to discover new artists.
Haven't had a DAP that plays videos in a while...
Any good USB C Charger with smart charging technology, like for instance an Anker 15W 5V/3A . Moon audio suggest a Tronsmart 5V 3Amp
2A is a low amperage I more inclined to a 3A. I suppose is like for a smartphone so you can use 3A charger instead of 2A anyway it takes only the power it needs and you will find 3A charger faster than 2A charger As it takes more power available to charge the battery. Thanks for your post. This is true, but its for portability isnt it? if i do require to drive super hungry cans at home, id just use the desktop setup no?Sony is 200 mw @16 ohm max on its 4.4 output..So you will be very limited with what this DAP can properly drive.

At 200mW you’ll have trouble with some IEMs as well, especially if they feature estats - those need quite a lot of currentThis is true, but its for portability isnt it? if i do require to drive super hungry cans at home, id just use the desktop setup no?
I dont run IEMs, so that wont be an issue. i think my "portable" drivers are the B&O H6(Gen2) and Sony 7506. which the A&K SR15 was able to drive at around 60-70 volume. At 200mW you’ll have trouble with some IEMs as well, especially if they feature estats - those need quite a lot of current
I'm assuming the Alpha Kann can easily drive them at a much lower volume? maybe 30-40 ?

On low gain I’m at the same-ish volume on my alpha as I am with my AK SR25 actually but AFAIK gain doesn’t actually change the current/power output, it only serves as a volume controlI dont run IEMs, so that wont be an issue. i think my "portable" drivers are the B&O H6(Gen2) and Sony 7506. which the A&K SR15 was able to drive at around 60-70 volume.

Kann Alpha just arrived two hours ago¡¡¡. I expected it bigger. I was very surprised that it is 3cm shorter than my LG V30 and also 1cm narrower... It sounds amazing, softer and better than my (very decent) Desktop DAC Pro-ject Prebox S2...
I have been running it as configured (average gain) Tidal -hifi and for the moment with the output 3.5mm not balanced... With my iem Dunu DK-3001-pro leads them very high and with authority to a volume of 85 -160. With my iem Dunu DK-3001-pro leads them very high and with authority to a volume of 85 -160. My 250 ohms Beyer Amiron Home takes them with authority to a volume of 130-160. My 250 ohms Beyer Amiron Home takes them with authority to a volume of 130-160.
I'm going to nuance that I like listening to music at high volume... I also notice that it is a player with a lot of brightness (I had never heard the cymbals like this ever in my long life as a hifi fan). It is advisable, in my opinion, to pair this player with iem-headphone that are not very focused on brightness... I would say that very bright pairings, would not be good synergy... And even now these are my little first impressions...

Is there any comparison with Kann Cube? SE100? N6 mk2?

Well, now tested the output of 4.4mm pentacon... What I said about the brightness for the output of 3.5mm... Forget about this... 4.4mm sounds different, with less brightness and more body in the entire frequency range, in my view, makes the music more enjoyable and what used to be a volume of 85 in half gain, is now 60-160 for my Dunu Dk-3001pro iems... I think this wonderful device is made to be more enjoyable in balanced...

Just got mine. It's much smaller than I was expecting. (this is not a bad thing!)
Anyway, I'm having a heck of a time installing the apps. Has anyone else managed to install anything? I'm going to apkpure.com, download the app (let's say Spotify), then copy that into the OpenService folder on the Kann, then go to the Services menu, and it should be there, right? What am I missing?

The Spotify apk from apkpure didn't work for me either, if I remembered correctly, I searched up the Spotify apk.on google and got a working one from there.
