I am both sorry and relieved to hear you have this problem, too!

Kann has much superior SQ and large Soundstage. The music has a good timbre like I said. Everything sounds good. I dont have the Fiio now so cannot compare it.

I’m having a problem with my Kann - namely the power button has stopped working. The unit charges, and was working fine except that I could not switch the screen on via the power button. Unfortunately the unit eventually powered down and although I can charge it and see the charging icon, there’s no way for me to actually switch the device on.

Anyone know how easy this would be to repair? I’ve sent a message to the support centre for my country (Hong Kong) but haven’t had any response yet. I’m guessing it’s just a simple fix, but annoyed that something which I’ve only had since May has already broken, despite being used in a case and looked after, and that I don’t see an easy way to get the thing repaired.

We have finished our internal testing and are now officially supporting the Sandisk 400GB cards for all of Astell&Kern's players.

Try to reset your device to factory default and try again.

Was wondering if anyone had impressions of the AK380 vs Kann and could share their opinions.

I currently have an AK120ii -> Noble Kaiser Encore in balanced mode. I'm about to pull the trigger on a pair of mr. speakers alpha primes (need a closed back set for work).

If I were going to use the nobles only, I'd go for the AK380; while the 120ii and 240 sound the same for PCM, I've the 380 does sound better (more airy, better separation, etc?).

But, I'm also reading that the Kann has a more powerful amplifier and it seems the kann might drive the alpha prime's better; downside being that the kann may have a little more hiss with sensitive IEMs than the 120ii or 380 might. I'll be running both in 2.5mm balanced mode.

    Curious to hear impressions!

I can't - it's a mechanical problem with the button. It won't switch on at all, but will charge. Unless there's another way to switch the Kann on I'm stuck. Taking it in to service next week...

Have you ever power on the Kann before ?

You know you need to press the power button and hold on to it till the screen appear “A”

    That is the AK Logo.

Yes, I’ve had it for a while and it powered on no problem before. Only now the power button does nothing.

Try holding the power button down for 20 seconds + to reset it.

If you are connected to Wi-Fi, try logging out of Tidal and logging back in. That should fix the issue.
