My bad, I pulled it out of the case and you’re right, I must’ve been thinking of the old Kann...
Thanks for pointing that out, I’m definitely swapping this new 512gb card for a 1tb card as soon as I find a decent brand available

Check with JasonNYC, but on my copy of the KC user manual, page 12, the two "recommended microSD cards" brands are SanDisk and Transcend.

I would stick with those.

Thank you for your guidance. Really appreciate it.

Just this afternoon was at a place I hope to come back to soon - and that SD card will come in handy, because while the views are great, it’s ways away from WiFi.

Thanks for the reply.

I tried the soft-reset using the method you wrote. It looks like the unit has completed the reset, but still, all my playlists show zero songs

Would it be worth trying to do the update again?
Might have to roll back to 1.12 first the manual way if that can be done.

I had 1.01 out of the box and did the manual update to 1.12, the ota to 1.13 and it works without any probs.
May be better than waiting thats all

As someone who is awaiting a Kann Cube this week (my first ever DAP- I’ve finally given up on brittle portable amps and connections to my Apple devices as temperamental as our president tweeting at 3 am) - I would appreciate the sage advice of DAP veterans as to which is the proper SD card (and the type if they come in different flavors - I truly am a newbie in this neck of the woods). A lot of the places I work (and play) are tucked away far from Wi-Fi and some even from internet service at all so I plan to have the SD card as a crutch in those circumstances.
what you need is this SD card:
SanDisk Ultra microSDHC Memory Card + Adapter 256GB up to 1 TB

Top of the Wiliwilinui trail in Honolulu, looking out over Kaneohe Bay. It’s at about 2000 foot elevation. One of the nicest trails I’ve ever been on - canopies cover most of the trail making it cool and shady. The views without cloud cover are truly breathtaking..

The only downside is the occasional feral pig sighting - but never a crowd of 30-50 crossing the trail in 3-5 minutes so I can enjoy the view looking back at Honolulu.

Do you think that if you compare the AK and SE100 kann cube, the set of characteristics of the sound, what would be preferable? How are they different? Power cube does not take into account. Only the sound. The idea is that the SE100 should sound better, not for nothing 90% of the audio from his flagship.

I compared those two and the SP1000 then bought the cube. They were all similar but the cube was closer to the SP1000 and so close I couldn’t really pick between them. If anything the cube seemed a slightly fuller sound and I prefer its quirky looks, I would have tried the SP2000 too if it was available here. The cube isn’t that much bigger than the SP and pretty much the same weight. I’m very happy with my choice!

About 3 weeks ago or so I re-ripped my entire music library again. It took
23 consecutive days,
247 hours,
2703 discs,
23 storage boxes.

Did them non stop for about 11 hours each day,it was actually the middle of the night.

I used dbpoweramp and had to look up a lot of wrong or missing info for about 3/4 of them, took a long time. Now I know that the meta data is correct and I didn't miss any cds.

Now they reside on my 1TB with room for more.

and they sound good!:D

That's why I don't need any streaming service.I supply my own tunes.

added 200 new cds since then.

Congratulation! Did you make it now in flac, or you stayed with mp3?
1000000000000/2703 gives 369.9 MBytes per CD, which should be just enough for flac. But maybe not for the additiomal 200 cd.

Had my Kann Cube around three days, upgraded from an AK70 mk2, what a difference. It may be a lot of money but in my opinion worth every penny. I tried a few tracks, Low by the Foo Fighters for example, that the AK70 could get a bit ragged sounding in parts, the cube handled everything I tried with a vice like grip, I love it!

I cannot find the Kann Cube output impedance in the spec. I would think it is pretty low, because my Shure SE846 with white filter sound pretty crisp, at least from the SE output. I remember reading that Kann was 1.3 Ohm for balanced out, half of that for SE.
"Phones 3.5mm (1.2ohm) / Balanced out (1.6ohm) " - just before the very end of the doc.
