I have just ordered A&K Kann, and I am interested to get the adapter 2.5 male to 3.5 female to get the full power of the player. Would that damage the player or headphones, sending that power from balanced to single ended?

I heard it might damage DAP or headphones, but in a store I was told it is ok.
Not kinda sure, would not like to risk to damage brand new Kann and I have at home few amps (Cayin C5DAC and Fiio A5) which I could use instead.

Ok, thanks, I was thinking the same, just wanted some confirmation aside. Seller in a very store told me it is fine ..
