This was discussed some pages back, a lot of 3rd party cabless work very well. I haven't even unpacked the cable provided in the box. Cables like Anker, Ikea, Sharge, Samsung, just to name a few, are perfectly OK.....The only thing that struck me is that it has to be the original cable from AK; others don't seem to work, neither for charging nor for transferring data. It can also happen that if you charge and transfer data at the same time, the charge stagnates or, depending on the model, even drops slightly. (PC/Mac)

My experience is that modern multi-devices are not that different. When connected to a PC/Mac, it usually takes a little longer.Thank you paramac. I see an Anker 313 charger (45W) Ultra-Compact Portable Charger online. Would that fully charge the SP3000t in 3.5 hours? I don’t remember exactly how long the SP2000t took on my iPhone charger (It’s in Korea with the girlfriend, so I can’t easily check). I’d love to use the laptop charger but I fear it’s too powerful. On my computer, it would take too long to fully charge I believe. Thanks again.
Thanks. I have an older laptop with only a usb c port for power to the unit. I don’t think I can use that to charge the SP3000t, but definitely, I am quite lost with all the different amp, volt, watt details about charging properly. My experience is that modern multi-devices are not that different. May I ask the wattage of your Anker charger?
Yes, I also thought that it would work with cheap cables that I use to charge my iOS devices and transfer data, but unfortunately it didn't work. This was discussed some pages back, a lot of 3rd party cabless work very well. My FiiO M11 Plus isn't picky either, but unfortunately neither charging nor data transfer worked with AK. Other cables will certainly work, but they must have certain specifications.
Surely the ipad usb-c cable works, though I admit, that particular cable is slow-ish with almost everything non-apple.Yes, I also thought that it would work with cheap cables that I use to charge my iOS devices and transfer data, but unfortunately it didn't work.

I recommend you buy an inexpensive but decent charger and cable.
I use an Anker 735, 65W. I'm charging both the laptop mac and the SP3000T with the same.

I use this Anker. But I don't think you need to worry too much about it, all modern devices should work here.

So I can only report from my experience here, a "simple" Apple charging/data cable didn't work with the SP 3000t on either the Mac or my Anker multi-charger, the device showed no reaction.Surely the ipad usb-c cable works, though I admit, that particular cable is slow-ish with almost everything non-apple.

I can only assume that it doesn't meet certain USB3 specifications, which some devices tolerate but the AK apparently doesn't.

I can recommend this one
Very flexible, charges iPad, Samsung, Macbook, the AK, and it looks nice.
Forgot to add, it can transfer data to the SP2000T as well. That player is more restrictive with the cables, but the Anker works fine.

Unfortunately, not all cables are created equal.
I've just checked and my apple cable works fine. Which doesn't mean all apple cables will do the same, but at least it shows the DAP plays nice with 3rd party cables.

I have been using the same Anker cables that I use with my Android smartphone for years with AK players and have had no issues with charging or data transfer with a Windows PC. I do know the Thunderbolt 4 spec on Mac is more strict for USB-C cables and can be less forgiving. Really any well-made, good quality cable from a known manufacturer should work without issue.
I am not officially endorsing Anker cables, but just sharing my personal experience with them.

I would recommend NOT using a 65 PD charger with the SP3000T. Something that is actually QuickCharge 3.0 certified would be best if you are looking to fast charge, something like this - https://www.amazon.com/Anker-PowerPort-Compatible-Qualcomm-Certified/dp/B077HFFLMSI also have my laptop charger: ZMI zPower Turbo 65W USB-C PD Laptop Charger Power Adapter Compatible with Laptops Chargeable via USB-C Input: 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz 1.5A; Output (USB-C): 5V-3A , 9V-3A, 12V-3A, 15V-3A, 20V-3.25A

I use the Samsung EP-T1510NBEGEU charger, its characteristics fully comply with the manufacturer's recommendations AK
