Will pick an sp3000 for sure, thanks again100% the SP3000. The SP3000T is only advisable if you love smooth analog sounding music. The SP3000T'S digital mode has a small soundstage in comparison to the SP3000. The SP3000T's soundstage is 2Dimensional rather the the large 3Dimensional soundstage of the SP3000. Lastly, the SP3000T has some low level hiss in quiet music. The SP3000 had a completely dark background with zero hiss. The SP3000 is the clear winner in my book. It's a niche product for analog sound lovers. The only modes worth using are it's Hybrid (3) mode which combines both digital and Tube modes and it's Tube only mode.
Thanks

Sorry, I thought I had shared the update on the issue affecting Apple Music on the SP3000 and SP3000T here, but it looks like I only posted it in the SP3000 thread.I had the same problem after updating to 4.8 and then 2 days later the older version of Apple music was available to download. Problem solved.
Update on the Apple Music issue:
The Apple Music app version is the download tab has been rolled back to version 4.6.0. This is the latest version that is currently supported without issue. We recommend everyone install 4.6.0.
Astell&Kern will release a firmware update that will fix the issue with newer versions of Apple Music sometime in September. I do not have an exact date yet, but I would estimate it to be closer to the end of September. Once the firmware update is applied, the latest version of Apple Music will be supported without issue. We will also push the latest version of the app out to the download tab once the firmware update has rolled out.
If you have any questions, please let me know.

Very faint light in pitch dark. The glass is dark as well, so it’s hard for the tube incandescence to come through.Want to ask.. If we turn off led indicator.. Tube also off.. So its true JAN tube no light at all?

Hello, a little about me. I live in Germany and have been into music since I was a teenager.I recently treated myself to the AK 3000t and am very impressed by its musical qualities and the wide range of settings for sound optimization.But there are also questions about the device, and I am currently concerned about the device's power consumption. For example, if I stream Oobuz in high-res, the device uses almost 25% of its charge within an hour. When playing internal files, also high-res audio, it uses between 15% and 20% per hour. I usually turn off the LED and deactivate the WiFi. I usually use the hybrid or tubes.So it's easy to calculate that AK's information about the battery life of up to 10 hours when the device is fully charged is way off. What is the experience of this in this forum?

From my observations the following follows (in % per hour, playing internal files only, I don't use internet at all):
- lamp (medium) + crossfeed + Flac 16/44 - 20%;
- lamp (medium) + Flac 16/44 - 16%;
- OP + crossfeed + Flac 16/44 - 11-12%;
- lamp (medium) + DSD64 - 20%;
- lamp (medium) + Flac 24/96 - 20%;
- lamp (high) + crossfeed + Flac 24/192 - 30-35%.

OK, thank you for the answer. This means I can at least rule out a hardware problem, but I'm wondering under what conditions you can get up to 10 hours of play time with the AK, when in practice the hourly consumption is usually significantly more than 10%? Unfortunately, batteries also have a limited lifespan, which brings up the next question: can you replace them or not?

Any battery can be replaced if you can find it. My FiiO M17 battery swelled and I couldn't find a replacement for it for a long time. There are no replacements on the Internet at all. Then I wrote to them directly, at FiiO, and asked where I could get a new battery. They sent me a new one for free (I only paid for shipping) with instructions on how to replace it. The device was already out of warranty, but they didn't even ask if I had it at all. I just wrote to them and they immediately responded and offered a new battery for replacement for free. I'm sure that if you make a request to Asten & Kern, they will do the same. To replace it, you need special tools that can be bought inexpensively. I changed the battery in my iPhone too. As for the SP3000T, it really will work for up to 10 hours if you turn off all additional functions (crossfeed, etc.) and listen to offline Flac 16/44 (in OP mode, of course).
