If that’s the case with your unit, then there is something wrong!. I can use all those services, while charging, without issue.
Perhaps check the power supply, they recommend a QC 3.0 adaptor 5V 2A / 9V 1.67A / 12V 1.5A. with a warning if the charger exceeds 12V and 1.5A it my not operate normally and cause product damage. Might also be worth checking the auto time out setting in the menu, in case it accidentally got changed.

I’m using Apple Music v 4.0.0 and Spotify v 8.7.76.359.
Thank you. I don't even find an adapter on Amazon with these exact values. If they are so picky about the charger why don't they just add one to the package??

Could you please check for me if Spotify Canvas works for you on your SP3000? Thanks!

I didn't even know Canvas existed:scream:. I don't have my device with me in work today, but I read up on it and checked my iPhone, which is also supposed to support it, there is no option to turn it on in the menu, so perhaps it's not available in my region.
But I will check the SP3000 for it when I get home.

Update on crashing/rebooting while streaming: The SP3000 reported the sd-card was not readable anymore. So I removed it and tried to stream again while charging, now > 30min. No problem, at all, anymore. Strange, maybe the problem with the card caused the crashing/rebooting. Running all 3 apps (Apple, Spotify, Tidal) after another, let them stream, switch etc. while charging - no problems anymore.

Btw. the sd-card is perfectly readable under MAC, no issues. It is brand new.

I have a 512GB installed in mine, no problems. It is recommended to format the card within the SP3000

I’m not a big fan of the SP3000 and the way it handles certain cards. 512gb seems fine but it can be contrary and slow to start with 1tb cards, even when formatted in the SP3000 itself.

Tried that now. I formatted in A&K, card is working again... but... streaming while charging = crash.

That's one reason I never liked Android, the hassle with SD Cards. Too bad the A&K has only 256 Gigs internal, 512 would be enough for me...

Hi,
Also got a 1To SD card from SanDisk and it reads very well on the Mac.
The SP3000 is a great piece of hardware for playing Music with unfortunately a music app not at the level and I see many users streaming their albums.

As mentioned multiple times, and from the experience of several people here, they just launched a product with a beta software:

1- too many bugs
2- a set of features that doesn’t match previous products
3- close to zero user testing, as it doesn’t include a ton of feature that seem vital to many users.

This behaviour from a company which is supposed to manufacture the most premium DAPs on the market is, quite honestly, appalling.

All the excuses to avoid using a stock android experience and then with find ourselves with a (great sounding) half baked experience which could have been mitigated by the use of a third party music plate (did anyone say HiBy?)

Where’s the new software? After months since launch??

Congratulations!

I am not sure why you still have the DAP. It obviously hasn't met your expectations, sell it and move on

What's the point of a comment like that. I paid top dollar for something that sounds divine but with bugged software. Is it too much to ask for no major bugs when launching a premium product?
