Lol, and thats not even an expensive set of iems. I know of guys who’ve spent that much on a cable. Yeah it’s addictive and can get very expensive very quickly, and of course twice the price doesn’t mean twice as good but probably at least a little better.
I’m definitely not saying $2600 aren’t great iems Mr Skywalker, just that that’s about middle of the road price-wise.

Ha yep. Every time I spend more, it seems easier. I never would’ve considered spending $3,600 on a DAP even a few months ago but now I understand why people do. My next purchase will probably be the Naim Unifi and a “TBD” TOTL pair of headphones. Then maybe Traillii + a nice cable. I don’t even have custom IEMs yet. Need to figure out how to get impressions, etc. Might reshell the Indigo if that’s possible

At least AK will not have to deal with a bunch of Headfiers complaining about features that don’t work.

Ha yeah I like this closed ecosystem / walled garden AK has. It gives me confidence that these apps will run smoothly and perfectly.

I do like Neutron and wish I could find a way to stream music across my LAN from my PC. But if I can only use the included apps (not even sure what some of them are…) then so be it.

No one forced me to buy this particular DAP. Take it out of the box and use it.

I just opened mine this morning wow a looker this thing is absolutely beautiful. AK just make really stunning DAPS and they really go out of their way to make sure that their dap builds are stunners.
Images online just don’t do this player justice, holding it in my hand as I opened it, wow, really a substantially pleasing piece of kit.
added some images, it’s amazing how the 904L steel absorbs light.

On to charge format my new SD card and add music, updated the firmware without a hitch, will start updating apps, Roon, Arc Tidal and Qobuz.

Nice pictures

Mine seemed out of function and today it came alive again showing the battery icon as empty. Since the problem appeared after loading a lot of Music on my 1To microSD card (Sandisk), I’m wondering if the dap seemed dead because of it was rebuilding the library.

I have pulled out the card and now the dap shows erroneous data. How do I reinitialize the library safely ?

Why not just run minimserver on your pc then use AK connect on your SP3000.

What would be a fair price to sell the A18t for you guys think, it is a custom shelling by 64 Audio and they no longer allow reshells if you are not the original owner, so buyer would have to reshell on their own, wanting to sell to consider other options such as the Jewel/Mentor/Bird.

Sold mine for about $1000 back in mid 2020. Just keep it and use it on the go or something. A18t is still relevant even though it’s not talked about as much anymore. I like using CIEMs while I work out. If I’m taking a short flight I’ll always take one of my cheaper CIEMs and an apple dongle also. Maybe that use would work.

Thank you for the opinion, it is just that I am a minimalist, so I like to consolidate down, will list for 950 then.

so, sad to say, I received a defective sp3000 and it will have to go back. The output is static filled and pops around at a specific volume level, to bad.
