Which makes one hope that Qobuz rolls out on a faster pace in Asia. :)

what does Qobuz has that Apple Music does not? in the context of installing both apps on the SP3000, that is. I can understand the appeal of Qobuz if you are a Roon user (which I am) but if one is purely accessing Qobuz on SP3000 and the Apple Music app is also available for the SP3000, is there a significant reason to choose one over the other ?

I was a Tidal user and have tried Apple Music several times.
If you are looking for best sound quality (and I think all audiophiles in the world that have very expensive audio equipment (DAP, IEM, AMP...), there is no doubt that Qobuz is the best choice. It also allows you to buy music directly from his app with discounts .

the ultra would be fine. No need to spend the extra money on the extreme.
Hello for help,

Yes the Extreme isn’t needed but the SDCard is not accessible inserted in the DAP.

Using AK File Drop on a Mac I have access to the internal folders of the SP3000 from the Finder (Goto ftp://…..58:1212) but I can’t copy anything since all are locked and unlocking is impossible since I get an error message saying that I haven’t the necessary rights.
FTP anonymous is unchecked.

Using Android File Transfer (for Mac), I have access to my SD contents.
I can "delete" but I didn't find how to "add".

Thank you @piphil and I have also access to the SDCard.
Yes, right clicking on the file name I can delete the file.
Copy is just Drag and Drop.

@JasonNYC will the SP3000 be getting a 2 step gain mode like the recently announced SR35? Thanks!
I have not hear of any plans to add a gain mode to the SP3000. I will pass this recommendation onto the dev team.

Due to the way Android OS mounts SD cards, the SD card is not accessible using AK FIle Drop, only internal memory can be accessed.

Thank you @JasonNYC and I have confirmed this point. Problem is that I’m unable to copy any file into internal memory since I don’t know how to grant the permissions on my Mac.

Hi all, a related question. When I use Amazon music, The Amazon app on my SP 3000 says it's outputting, for example, 24-bit 192 music, but the light indicator on the volume wheel is still flashing red, suggesting that it's actually not playing 24 192. With qobuz, I get the green color on the wheel showing that I am playing at the higher bit rate. Does anybody else notice this?

Try Filezilla on mac for remotely copying via ak filedrop. Will solve the locked file error. It’s free.

You need change setting in Amazon Music but you won’t get above 96 as Android restricts the highest rate and for some reason you can’t override this with Amazon Music.
