Question for all you tube amp fans:

I am currently using an ASL MG Head/OTL amp with some nice tubes to drive my Senn HD600's. How do you think the Wheatfield HA-2 will stack up against my current combo? I'm considering going for one since it should be quite easy to sell my two month old ASL amp (especially since the face plate was mounted straight!) should I like the Wheatfield better. I would love to hear what you all think. I would especially like to hear from anyone with experience with both amps.

The Wheatfield HA-2 is a better amp... however at that price range it competes with the AudioValve RKV. I don't remember ever thinking I'd trade a RKV for a HA-2.

I spoke to soon - I keep watching the price climb and it will no doubt be out of my reach by bid close (I've only been a head-fier for a couple of months and have not yet reached that level of insanity). I will check out the RKV though. I'm pretty content with my ASL, and have a new source on the way so I'm not yet itching to change the amp. What are your thoughts on the RKV with Senn HD600/Cardas - versus the ASL with Sylvania 5751's?
