If you like bass, i'd choose the HFI-580's. No amp needed.

Grados SRi60 or the SRi80 friend has the 80s and our rock sounds great on them. If you think the DT770 is to expensive you should try the pro version it's about 100$ or so cheaper than the originals and they sound extremely similar. Best to ya.

Heya,

M50's lack bass? Huh? If you really think that, then you're a monster bass head, and your only option is an XB500 with a Digizoid ZO for $150 on the nose.

Very best,

Wicked!

Thanks for your recommendation

HFI 580 has more punchy bass than M50s and there is WAY more bass impact capacity than almost any headphone I've heard (including Beats), meaning the design and driver have the ability to make the bass really hit hard. The ability is there but you may have to find a good EQ and learn how to use it before you can get it out. It's not that bassy when flat.

It's generally an aggressive sounding headphone. Not as much treble as Grados, fortunately. You're basically demanding an Ultrasone HFI 580 from your OP.

Since you want the bass I would second the Ultrasone 580. Or MalVeauX's suggestion (XB500).
