Hi all. Just wanted to ask if anyone uses foobar2k 0.9.x with ASIO and has gotten ASIO Caps to work. I am trying to use it to sort out the problem with pops and clicks in the sound, and came across numerous suggestions to try ASIO Caps. I downloaded the latest version from the Otachan website but every time I try run it, it immediately crashes and XP pops up with one of those "Send error report" boxes.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

If you can't call ASIO panel through EDIROL control panel, and you need to panel opened for to get latency buffers adjusted, you should be able to get it done

- w/ software like NI BeatPort Player, TobyBear MiniHost, Hermann Seib's VSTHoste, etc.

- through windows registry by setting the "latency" key value manually:
* find the ASIO driver under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ASIO\
* copy the CLSID mentioned there and search that value in registry (remember start search from beginning of the registry)
* when found, change the "Latency" key value (value is in milliseconds (normally) as decimal or hex)
* restart the software you're using ASIO drivers with

Thanks for the tip. I tried that but cannot find any "latency" key. I do however have an Edirol entry in the control panel. I wrote about the issue in more detail in this thread here which may contain more info to help diagnose the issue.

Here is also a screenshot of my Edirol control panel setup:

I have the buffer set to one notch before max. I have tried various foobar output buffer settings too (foobar2k 0.9.4).
