Hey guys.

For the first time since I started this hobby I am truly ashamed at myself.

I just ordered a DA10. $1300 cdn. I'm waiting on a Gilmore Lite. A pair of custom sleeves.

Someone please comfort me. Where does this end?

Never. This is like the Mafia. Once you're in, there's no getting out.

The only shame comes from posting this info in the wrong forum. Don't you know the difference between a headphone and a source component? Tsk tsk tsk.. the shame.

Don't forget to post photos later when the package arrives.

Edit: Congratulations, btw. I had a chance to hear it at a mini-meet and it was an awesome piece of gear.

If you love music, if you wish to have it faithfully reproduced, and if you have the financial resources to explore the wonderous array of fantastic gear available, why would you even want it to end?

I liquidated my gear over the last few months with every intention of settling down with some mid-fi gear. And, as nice as it is, I found (as did ken_loo) I was really missing the high end stuff I just let go.

So, Omega II + Singlepower ES-1 is on order

Yaaaaa ya.. I know.

But I hang out in this forum the most. I'll post some pics as soon as they arrive, and my personal review. I seem to like a different sound signature than most people here (recessed bass, texture, lightning fast everything, subtle and sweet sibilance, etc). So I'll see how the Lavry fits the bill.

I live right downtown, closer to Concordia. Why do you ask?

Are there any other Montrealers around who would be interested?
