Got a set of the Thunder about a week ago, and have been listening for my burn in. I'd say approaching 50 hours now, so probably about where it'll wind up. Did some early tip rolling, and put on my DDhifi cable w/ swappable plugs, and am thoroughly enjoying the sound. The immense sense of space this IEM throws out is crazy. Just so grandiose. When I went back and forth with my Turii, it honestly sounded closed in (I wouldn't have thought that possible when I was using Turii on a regular basis)! Overall the balance of sound, dynamics, and tuning are on another level entirely from anything else I've ever owned. It reminds me of the Softears RSV, with its amazing tonality, and excellent balance, but with the dynamics and spaciousness cranked up to 11!

Early sounded so good! :) I found them when I was browsing the used items at the store. It was immediately after I tried them on, that I knew I was gonna get one

The sound is well-balanced, with DD bass covering the lows

How are the highs? Also, separation, stage and imaging?

Its highs sounds nice, and inoffensive. There isn't any dryness or metallic sound typical of most BAs. Very well balanced relative to its mids. Not wonky or peaky or thin. Quite natural in tone. Good separation with a medium-sized stage. Notes are portrayed well and central, with the DD backing the presentation

Early was on mi target since I saw FR first time many months ago but I chose Witch Girl w6.2 and then Thunder that is incredibly good.
Thunder has the best mids and voices ever heard but you should pair it with neutral source, not warm for sure to get the best from.
I’d curious to pair it with a DX240 or maybe an higher dap as N6ii R01 that should be more transparent than my RS6.
I’m not saying Thunder doesn’t pair good with RS6, and using MSEB/Darwin I found a great pairing but you know… curiosity kills us😅
Anyway I’m close to buy Duet that is based on 2DD

This should prove to be very, very interesting!
There is a trend going on "in the neighbourhood". Dynamic drivers are making a Come back...

I have tried Duet at the head-fi shop before, its sound stage is muddy and the high is dim, it is like W6.2 that requires a lot of time to burn-in.

Do you suppose was unburned?

Do you suppose was unburned?
Yes of course.

I have heard that the other pair at the other branch of the head-fi shop has got burned-in and the sound stage has definitely got better, growing daily.
