Aristaeus VS Blue Hawaii
Jan 14, 2009 at 3:15 PM Post #61 of 103
Has anyone received their unit yet or does anyone have updated information on impending delivery? As a replacement customer, I presume I am at the absolute bottom of the list.

Thanks everyone for advice on EL34 alternatives. I talked to a friend who has a big collection of tubes, he said he can give me a quad of any of the recommended tubes. As per your advice, I will be first testing the tubes on an Amplitrex tube tester.

Those heatsinks look not only awesome but very utilitarian as well! Might need to snag one of these puppies.

Nope! I gave up waiting a long time ago.
...cause Justin first mentioned the KGBH SE to me in March 2007, writing "I hope to have it released in 2-3 months". It is now 22 months later and it has still not reached it final stage.

I have settled on speaker amplifier and transformer for my Stax'en.

I didn't know you can use the b22 to drive Stax.

Not directly though. You will need a transformer (eg.SRD7) to connect to the Beta22 via speaker terminals, persuming that the Beta22 was built with speaker terminals, then connect the Stax Speakerphones to the transformer. Source will be connected to the Beta22 in the normal way.

Thank you sir. :)

The AMP panel actually royal blue. My old Sony sucks for taking pictures in low light.
Sorry for taking this thread of topic.
