Singapore - Effect Audio will release an upsized version of the Ares S and Cadmus in 8 cores as a permanent option in the SIGNATURE SERIES lineup on 22nd March 2023, at 8 pm SGT.
It has been almost a year since the inception of the Signature Series, where we introduced Ares S, Cadmus and Eros S - Our A.C.E. team of high-performance, value-for-money cables.
Since then, we have received a lot of love and feedback from our fans, and one particular comment has been repeatedly raised. That is an 8-core version of Ares S and Cadmus.
Magic Santa blessed us last Christmas with a Power Surprise Gift Box and a Clarity Surprise Gift Box, where Ares S 8W and Cadmus 8W were both featured in a special Christmas edition packaging. The response to these boxes has been overwhelmingly positive, and team EA cannot thank you enough for sending us so much love.
And now, we want to officially announce that Ares S 8W and Cadmus 8W will be offered as permanent options in our Signature Series Line Up.
War Mode - Ares S has always been that power beast. Its strength lies in its ability to bring out emotional vocal quality and weight to the lows, while a proprietary dual geometric structure ensures that overall sonic resolution is enhanced.
Now with double the wires, one can imagine the God of War Ares in its War-mode, harnessing its immense power, ready for its final Battle. Ares S 8W delivers even more power and dynamism in its sound while opening up to a wider soundstage.

“The best thing is this cable barely tries to affect the rest of the spectrum, yes, it manages to control any kind of sharpness without breaking a sweat but if the IEM has a peak it doesn’t flatten that, you will get a good feel of that but the harshness is curbed. Something I love is the accuracy and precision of the mid range. Mid range instruments are slightly in the V but vocals pop with high quality texture and details. Both the tonality and timber are natural and slightly on the smoother side.”
Saldsald, Head-Fi:
“In short it is the cable with the most natural uncoloured and extended treble topped with very high resolution I have heard so far. It is so resolving you will need a high resolution IEM to get the most out of it.”

“There’s lots of air around instruments and vocals and I’m getting a 3D type feel to the music. Vocals seem more forward than with the 4W but not in any way harsh or aggressive. The treble still extends here, but unlike with the 4W I personally find it to be more controlled which fits well with my own preferences.”

“Cadmus 8w, a work of art. Light cable enthusiasts need not apply. Cus the 8w Cadmus is double the material. However the standard cadmus is no push over, if you want something a bit lighter, I have no reservations recommending the standard 4w version, but if you want a cable that makes your IEMs sound the absolute best they can be, the 8w version to me is special. I have tried easily a dozen IEMs using the 8w and it enhances all of it.”

“I love the mid range and the mid forward nature of this cable impressed me the most and the 8W version brings even more attributes to this signature. To be truthful, this 8W is a bit less mid forward but brings in a lot more information into the mix. It’s like listening to a mid forward Evo 10. Loving this signature is easy. I love the extra bit of bite and definition with the vocals. While the 4W is a bit cushy and forgiving this 8W is a lot more revealing and exposes minor deformations in mastering.”

A Cadmus Story: Strike Mode
Cadmus, a skilled and swift warrior, has been preparing for his fight with the fearsome Ismenian Dragon. He knows this is not a monster that his usual weapon could handle. Cadmus sharpened his sword with a steely resolve, honing the blade to a razor-sharp edge. Every stroke of the whetstone was filled with a fierce determination to take down the fabled beast. On the fateful day of the battle, Cadmus was equipped with The Sword of CLARITY. Cadmus swung his sword and struck the dragon in the heart in one swift and precise movement. The creature let out a final roar before collapsing to the ground, defeated.
