Are these speakers from ebay safe and good to buy?

In terms of "safe," if they work properly as the seller says, then you shouldn't have any overhauling to do. In terms of "should you buy them?", it depends on what you're looking for. Speakers from the Japanese electronics companies (e.g., Sony, Pioneer, Panasonic, etc.) have never been regarded as "audiophile" speakers in any way, shape or form.

With that said, however, you can probably turn these up and have a blast. I don't think they will be the most accurate speakers you could find, and if you have top level electronics, then you might be better served by a better speaker. But if you just want to boogie, these could be your ticket. (I've got a pair of my sister's old Kenwood 3-way speakers in my basement, and they're great for when I'm on the treadmill). Good luck!
