These seem to be a new product from an old company. It seems like there are more and more new 300bs entering the market. Time for someone with skill, money and lots of extra time to make a report. It seems the last major 300b shoot-out report is now not current.
A few people have posted impressions of the treasure tubes here and on other forums. Overall, the impression is generally positive. However, the pricing is rather prohibitive. If you want current production 300b tubes, I'd suggest going with a more established brand like EML or to a lesser extent, the sophias. Otherwise, go with WE NOS.
The Shuguang Treasure CV-181's were actually quite impressive, I thought, but no idea how the 300b's are. Prices on the Treasure series have been coming down, though, so keep an eye on this. They were too expensive at first for sure, but a the going rate for a pair of CV181's for example, has already dropped from $350 to $250.
To the OP.... Are they Good?... Yes they are... It is a good tube. It was not a Great tube in my limited exposure to them. But it is a good tube. It is all about price point. At around $400 it is a good price for them.
I do wish they didn't black out the tube, so you could see the engineering goodness on the inside of these. I know I like looking at the WE300b's...
I am using my Woo WA5 with the treasure 300B bz now. The tubes need at least 300hr for burning before getting super result. Right now i have only spent 24hr for them. Out of the box,the sound is very clean(maybe because my DAC has bright sound??) with large soundstage.
i will keep update after it is fully burn-in because it is not really fair for the Shuguang to say anything more about it now
Wow. 300B tubes are expensive. I heard the Cary 300SEI once. Sounded very good. A bit out of my price range though. I have never heard the Woo 5. That looks like a real nice amp.
"At least 300 hours for burn in" ??? Maybe they'll get really good after 3000 hours. Of course if you run them "balanced" you might get by with 2000 hours. For this kind of money go NOS, you'll get a better and more dependable product, and if you don't like them they'll still have a resale value.

I've actually avoided 300B-based amps for this very reason.
