Hello and good luck to all!
I have been searching for a long time - are there any iem headphones with a stage comparable to, for example, Dali io-12, Technics 800, etc.? In descriptions and reviews, most often, they do not mention this important characteristic, or talk about width, but not volume, depth. About such a stage, when listening to a jazz quintet, you can clearly hear who is located where, and listening to ambient, folk - you are inside everything. In those iem models that I had before, and have now (at least in the signature), I did not find this.
Maybe someone found it in others, share your experience? ))

The two standouts for soundstage are the Seeaudio Yume II with Dunu S&S tips and the Final VR3000 with stock tips. Both have width and depth if it's an important feature. Even the open design of the KZ PR2 was fun if you have an amplifier, those really need one.

IEMs generally don't project a headphone or speaker-like stage but the better ones do create a reasonably spacious "virtual" stage, a psycho-acoustic illusion, to be precise, where images of instruments are well-separated from each other and appear to come from a specific, well-defined location. @freeryder05 liked the Dunu Mirai in this respect (and I concur), and this is the lens, through which @o0genesis0o writes his reviews.

Personally, I liked the stages of Tanchjim sets I tried, such as the stage of the original Oxygen (not the sub-bass boost stealth upgrade version), the New Hana was also enjoyable, and the cheap Ola too. Precog thought the new Origin is great, but I haven't tried that one. I found that the Softears Studio 4 has a stage of smaller proportions, but comes with great positional accuracy, even depth-wise, whereas the Monarch Mk III is big sounding, but for some reason (tuning, drivers?), the Mirai outclasses it in separation, so even if two instruments occupy the same space (such as bass guitars and kick drums often do), it's easier to hear them separately on the Mirai. @dunring is also correct above on the final VR3000, although I thought it was a bit weak with front-center and top-center placement in games. The A3000 is similarly good from final.

However, all of the above is additionally dependent on your DAC, and to a smaller degree, eartips. Without (a) good one(s), you cannot expect a three dimensional sound.

I have never heard of the Dali or the Technics but the widest and largest stage I have heard in an IEM would be the Elysian Annihilator 21, 64 Audio U12t or UM Mest Mk3. If you’re more budget minded, I would say the symphonium Helios comes in as well.

The Dunu Mirai is probably the safest all around option comparing its tuning and soundstage at the price so it’s definitely worth a mention.

All of these are tuned quite differently so you kinda have to pick your poison on tuning.

If you are looking for decent soundstage in compact package, earbuds is a better option than in ears. They might not isolate that well but some top end ones can sound on par with TOTL IEMs.
Check this thread for some recommendations.

Check out Oriolus Szalayi, gargantuan soundstage.
