i can get a good seal it's just i thought that custom molds would give better sound and block out more noise

I don't think that customs is a step up soundwise. It will block out more noise.
A good seal with the triflanges or foamies should give you enough isolation.

custom molds will seal better and possibly improve the bass and it will also make the sound more consistent and you won't have to adjust the fitting like you would do with the flanges or foamies. Custom molds are great, but too expensive.

if we're talking about e4c,more bass possibly is a step-up soundwise.
Yeah,I'm adjusting my fit always, with my um2. But I think hat I've learn how to get a good seal with them. I actually was considering customs when I couldn't get a good seal.
Right now I just have to adjust them a little bit, somtimes. So for me it's not worth the 120 $+ear-impressions+shipping etc.

I agree, it is not an upfront cost I am willing to spend right now. In some cases, the mold could cost more than the iem itself. My ER-6 cost me $90 and a custom mold for it would cost me $100. The nice thing though is that the custom mold for the ER-6 could be fitted with the ER-15 and ER-25 to be used as musician earplugs, but still...
