Hello.

I heard there are many people who didn't paid it, because the seller send the product as a gift, low price value. (this is illegal on ebay as far as I know)

I think that it is case by case.

Will you please tell me your opinion?

It depends on how the law is written where you are. One example is the Philippines. There is a section in the Customs law that basically boils down to, "Agents have the right to call BS on your paperwork and any other claims." My Dad sent my university wind breaker back when I forgot it in my room in our California home, and they tried to tax me for an obviously used windbreaker, until I whipped out my phone on speaker mode and asked for a friend's frat brother at the Ombudsman's office (I wasn't really going to use his name and such, I just wanted them to hear the recording say that I'm dialing the Ombudsman). They tried to pull this on me several times, like that one time my Mom sent dozens of signed Christmas cards since I can distribute them during the clan Christmas party rather than them paying for postage on each. Similarly, there was one time that someone in a local forum returned an item and received a new unit in return, but the Customs Agents were arguing that the exception will only apply on the same item (as per serial number) is the one coming back; another time it was a $25+ pouch of several capacitors that were hard to find here, and they argue that it falls under commercial quantity even though it's all going into a single amplifier.

Basically what I'm saying is, unless you're in the US (where I have used items sent if it's not coming from here), check with local audio forums to see how they got items from another country.

Yeah, it depens on where you are living.

Here its the value that counts. If its higher than their allowed value, u pay tax. So, in that case, if u
mark a lower value, it can get past without any further costs.
