I just wanted to hear your input because I find that on a amp I have to turn my triple.fi's up a significant amount higher then my shure's to get the same volume level which is not a big deal at all just curious.

Yes, same observation here. Not significant higher, but it is higher.

well I mean it is not like they need 50% more power or anything like that

but I def. notice turning up the knob higher on my sr-71a to get them bumpin

Triple fi:
Input Sensitivity: 117dB/mW
Impedance: 32 ohms

Shure 530:
Sensitivity (1mW): 119 dB SPL/mW
Impedance (1kHz): 36

remember every 3 decibels is a doubling of power and 6 is a doubling of voltage.
Have Fun =)

I would agree, maybe 15%, it seems se530 unamped is about the same as TF10 amped in volume to me.

yeah same here too. My 530s are louder at the same vol than my UE10s on my Cowon D2

i thought lower impedance = easier to drive?

Not just impedance, you have to take sensitivity into account too (see myinitialsaredac's comment)

In the case of SE530 vs. TF10, SE530 higher sensitivity has more effect on the volume than TF10 higher impedance.
