if you don't have either yet, and deciding between the two, i would choose the SR60. because once you get in SR80 territory, you might as well get a MS-1 instead!

actually the MS-1 is the equivalent to the SR125, which makes it such a deal at $99 shipped worldwide. can't compare to the DT or Senn, never heard either of those!

This has been discussed many times, and many have determined that it is actually the 125's that the MS-1's seem to be based upon. I have also heard that many who compare the SR-60's to the SR-80's tend to prefer the 80's.

Built on the same features as the SR60, but utilizes a 4 conductor connecting cable and larger ear cushions, the result of which gives a more open stage. The SR80 provides an improved bass resonance, which enhances the overall detail. John Grado says he strove for the best sounding phones for the money, and with the glowing reviews the SR80's have received, who can argue.

also the bowl pads.
