Hello,
About a month ago i bought a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M50s. They sound very good, but are a bit uncomfortable, especially when i'm with my glasses. They also are too big for around my neck. I want to buy the Bose headphones, because i tried them in the Bose store in Munich and they were really comfortable. I'm also considering the Fanny Wang 2000. But i head the Bose AE2i are 100 ohms and are really difficult to drive. What do you guys think?

P.S. This is my first post.

Best Regards
Ivo

I'm selling mine. They do require more juice than my other headphones, but even at a loud volume, they lack punch, especially in the bass. I bought them to complement my QC15, without trying them on, because I thought they would sound similar to the QC15 or the OE2, which I did try, and sounded very good. They're not similar at all. I don't recommend the AE2.

The best praise I can give for the AE2 is that it's by far the most comfortable pair of headphones that I've ever worn. Bose motto should be "better comfort through research" because that's probably the only area where their fruits of their research (if there really is any) shows...

I own them as simple desktop headphones for youtube videos and occassional dvd's and such, and they are very good for that use as you can wear them for hours. However, as headphones for serious music listening I cannot recommend them as they have way too many sticking points in their sound signature. There are weird dips in the mids and bass somewhere that makes the overall sound balance quite incoherent...
