I just got some used pads from another head-fier and, they smell quite bad... I wonder if I can machine wash them, without shrinking them or even breaking them?
Are the AKG 271 pads washable?

I wouldn't wash them. It's just plain foam in there which would need to dry forever under pleather. The sewing isn't really strong too. You can try to wash the survace with care by hand.
Or you get the superexpensive velourpads which are also more comfortable.

Well, it turned out to be quite successful. Just gotta leave it in cold water and choose "delicate" for washing cycle.
They ARE velour pads, btw.

Sorry I thought we're talking about the stock ones. Velourpads should be washable.
